Who’s up for riding a shark? Despite the recent increase in shark attacks, it does look fun.
Okay, forget sharks for a moment. Are you willing to take a risk when it comes to your fundraising? I am constantly being told, “this is how we’ve always done it” and “our donors are different, they wouldn’t like that.”
Many organizations don’t like taking a risk. They think it is safer to keep doing the same old thing even if it’s not working and not donor centric.
I am not suggesting jumping on the first shark (idea) that comes along, but start testing new ways to communicate and interact with your donors. The testing is critical, because no one wants to be bitten.
The good news is you may find something that really works for your donors. Then you are both having fun.
